Yes, it will. The insects can survive in cold or extreme heat. I have this method once, when I went. My apartment was infested with cockroaches. When I got the new house, I have all my stuff in the garage. In the middle of winter. I have all the outdoor furniture for about 2 months. N Cockroaches have survived.
The heat is much more effective. Wash all the hot water possible and dry with very hot temperatures. If it can (such as bedding, stuffed animals, everything) do not wash it, not put in plastic bags and keep out of his house for two weeks. Make appropriate treatment and wash Nix, comb all the nits daily for a week and the sheets every day until they are gone.

I found this site. has information on the freezing and many of the most frequently asked questions about lice.
Probably not, most insects and spiders can not survive (if not to live well) in a climate of ridicule. -RID and then run it into the hair and wash your sheets, as already suggested.
My cousin has head lice, if ur head is heated and cooled rapidly, killing more than 80% of them. Do It Again, perhaps something like two to stay alive. I hope that helps
